Gentle Flow Yoga w/the music of Elizabeth Pupeter $30 per class Purchase required to enroll

Please join Jane Hermans and Elizabeth Pupeter for 75 minutes of gentle yoga accompanied by harp, chimes and singing bowls. The class will begin in a standing position, warming up with stretches, and then moving into some simple yoga poses. This will be followed by a little time on our hands and knees, moving to our front body for shoulder and upper back stretches, and hip openers. We’ll finish on our back with some gentle bridging and spinal extension. The last 15 minutes will be reserved for an extended Savasana, while Elizabeth guides you into deep relaxation with sound and Jane does some light shoulder and neck massage with essential oils.

Experience the soothing sounds of the crystal singing bowls along with other melodic instruments to achieve a state of relaxation that will leave you feeling renewed, refreshed, and rebalanced. Live music allows the listener and musician to engage in a relationship that is in the moment and allows for an exchange of movement within the music. The listener is experiencing and feeling a one-time connection with the music and the musician.

Jane will be joined by Elizabeth Pupeter, MT-BC, WMTR, a board certified music therapist who is licensed with the State of Wisconsin. She has been practicing for the past 30+ years in a variety of settings and age groups. Elizabeth has routinely co-presented at conferences throughout the region on trauma informed care, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and self care. Elizabeth also enjoys facilitating immersive experiences through sound and instrumentation. In her free time she directs an adaptive adult choir.

With Deb Sommerhalder and Molly Jansen, explore a sleep wellness routine that creates an enchanted rest full of dreams.

During this workshop, we will explore our sleep and dreams through understanding sleep wellness, reflect on how and why we sleep and dream, and discover dream meanings.

A guided Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) along with a sound bath will take you into a deep, radiant, subconscious state of rest and renewal.

This workshop will present the work being done by Dr. Loren Fishman using traditional yoga poses to increase bone strength in patients experiencing loss of bone mass. You will learn and practice the twelve yoga poses that Dr. Fishman prescribed in his initial study and additional poses that he has added in his second series. A practice guide will be provided that outlines the poses and their variations for different levels of experience and ability, as well as sample sequences for your home practice.

Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing and is a sister science to yoga. Ayurveda offers the secrets to health and longevity by providing the guidelines to live in harmony with nature through daily routines, seasonal diets, herbs, and lifestyle. Ayurvedic medicine is based on the notion that poor nutrition is the main cause of disease. Food can also be the most powerful medicine in providing adequate nutrition and nourishment. Ayurvedic nutrition is an individualized approach to the diet, based on one's constitutional make-up and current health status.
In Ayurvedic medicine, food is central to life, and life is, in essence, a continual search for food. The one-size-fits-all approach to diet doesn't work according to Ayurvedic nutrition since different people have unique nutritional, physical, psychological and physiological needs for nourishment. The old saying "one man's food is another man's poison" holds true in Ayurvedic nutrition since individual food choices can bring health or illness depending on one's unique body type.
