Alignment 1 1 visit free From $5 per visit with Child/Teen Yoga Drop-in pass No purchase required to enroll
This class will use the application of an alignment yoga practice to address students’ specific health and physical challenges that may not normally be addressed in a group class. The goal is to alleviate or reduce symptoms such as pain and muscle tension and stiffness, and also work proactively to restore balance in the body by using presence and awareness as techniques for healing.
The class will maintain a slower pace and have a primary focus on using props such as chairs, straps, and blocks, to allow all students to access the benefits of various asanas, with modifications for any physical limitations. The goal is to increase range of motion, build strength and flexibility, and work with the specific challenges of each student. The class content will be determined largely by the individuals participating in the class.
Please note that this class is not a substitute for medical care and oversight of an injury or illness. Students should have the approval from their physician to participate in a group exercise class.

In this class, students will learn basic principles of alignment in each yoga posture according to the guidelines set forth by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. Although each pose will be approached individually (not within a vinyasa format,) the practice will be challenging and rigorous, and will demand concentration and specific effort from each student. Alignment yoga uses props such as blocks, straps, and chairs to attain precise placement of the body in the asana to maximize the benefit and therapeutic value.

Yin Yoga involves holding poses for several minutes at a time in order to the
stretch the deep connective tissue around the joints; gravity helps intensify
the stretch. Yin may include the use of props. The goal of Yin is to bring the
body to optimal condition.
Restorative Yoga is a very gentle practice that involves holding supported
poses using props and long holds to passively open the body and achieve
physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The goal of Restorative is to bring
the body back to “normal.”
Both Yin and Restorative Yoga are important to include in your yoga practice to
maintain physical, mental, and emotional balance!

This Yin + Yang class will offer you time to set up, enter in, be present in the pose, and find gentle transitions, all while maintaining your rhythm of breath. Justine’s gentle nature, intuitive guidance, and passion for learning within practice could be a great guide to (re)discover balance. The Heart Practices - Metta; Loving-Kindness with Brittney Dorsey $20 per class Purchase required to enroll
What capacity does your heart hold? What lives within & outside of its borders?
The Brahma Viharas or “The Heart Practices” are the four qualities that Thailand culture encourages us to uncover and cultivate.
After spending 18 days in Thailand and weaving these qualities into her personal life and seeing the profound impact within her relationships, Britt Dorsey couldn’t wait to bring all that she learned back home.
This class is part of a 4-part series (60 min each session) in which we will be investigating and exploring these qualities through movement and breath, weaving the philosophy into the practice to find the many ways into our expansive heart.
Class 1 | Feb. 19th METTA - LOVING -KINDNESS
Class 2 | Feb. 26th KARUNA - COMPASSION
Class 3 | Mar. 4rd MUDITA - EMPATHIC JOY
Class 4 | Mar. 11th UPPEKHA - EQUANIMITY
These beautiful qualities don’t actually need to be created as they are already innate in each of us. However, as we go through life, with all its unseen challenges, our hearts tend to get guarded, bruised and a bit muddied along the way. The invitation is to give our tender hearts a nurturing space so we can come closer into connection - with ourselves, with others, with the wider world. As we continue to turn towards our natural capacity for kindness, compassion, shared joy and a steady presence - we familiarize ourselves with those sweet places until they begin to feel like home.
*These practices are open to all levels; no matter where you are on your journey, they are sure to have a positive impact on one's life. They compliment each other well so if you are able to make all four sessions, it’s highly recommended. Otherwise attending any individually will be of great benefit as well.

The one-size-fits-all approach to diet doesn't work according to Ayurvedic nutrition since different people have unique nutritional, physical, psychological and physiological needs for nourishment. The old saying "one man's food is another man's poison" holds true in Ayurvedic nutrition since individual food choices can bring health or illness depending on one's unique body type.
